Honey Creek, located in Alma, is a producer of honey and mead. Its apiaries are found in the municipalities of Alma and Saint-Gédéon. These include more than 400 beehives where in each of them are active nearly 100,000 bees.
The products offered are honey, creamy honey, dark or milk chocolate filled with creamy honey, choco-honey and mead, which comes in 4 types: regular mead, mead oak, mead with Blueberries (The Blue Dream) and Fleur-de-Lysé.
Patrick Fortier, the company’s owner, founded Miel des Ruisseaux in 1998. In 2007, he began producing mead and became its sole producer in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean. The mead, a success for the company, wins 2 silver medals in 2010 and 2011 and a distinction in 2013. The company is proud of its achievements and its involvement as a regional producer of a product 100% natural and ecological.
